About the Department


The Mathematics Department at the College of Education was established in the academic year 2017-2018, and the first graduating class was in 2021-2022. The department offers an academic program based on a semester system, and the duration of study in the department is four years (8 semesters). The department contributes to graduating qualified educational staff who contribute to the development of the educational process and serve the community.

Welcome to the Department of Mathematics, College of Education. I am pleased to welcome you to the Department of Mathematics in our college, where we see mathematics as more than just a science;

Rather, it is the foundation of sound educational thinking and a fundamental tool in shaping the minds of future generations. 

Our department is committed to preparing outstanding teachers and researchers capable of conveying mathematical knowledge in creative and effective ways, inspiring their students and encouraging them to love this science. We believe that the mathematics teacher is the cornerstone of building an aware society capable of critical thinking. Therefore, our academic programs are carefully designed to provide our students with theoretical depth in mathematics, along with the educational and pedagogical skills necessary to transform complex concepts into accessible and enjoyable lessons.

curriculum


The educational program for the Department of Mathematics and Statistics follows the college's semester system, with a total of 135 credit hours. The approved languages of instruction are Arabic and English.
