About the college

The Jadu College of Education was established based on the decision of the Government of National Accord's Cabinet No. (15) of 2017, dated 10 Ramadan 1348, corresponding to 05/60/2017 AD. It is located in the city of Jadu and contains six departments (English Language – Mathematics and Statistics – Biology – Classroom Teacher – Physics – Arabic Language and Islamic Studies).

The College of Education Jadu aspires to attain a respectable position among local colleges based on its success in graduating generations capable of working and competing in scientific fields in general, and in education and educational qualification in particular.

The mission of the college, in general, is to participate in the scientific, cultural, and social development of the nation, and to provide the Libyan community with distinguished scientific cadres capable of fulfilling the mission of education and teaching, as well as conducting research and scientific studies.

  • Preparing qualified teachers in various specialties to work in primary and intermediate education stages, in accordance with the needs and requirements of the community.
  • Contributing with all educational institutions within the country to conduct research and studies aimed at developing curricula and textbooks in a way that achieves the goals of the educational policy in Libya.
  • Collaboration with educational institutions in Libya to develop education through conferences, seminars, and various scientific workshops, as well as through the exchange of knowledge and experiences in different educational fields.
  • Providing undergraduate and graduate studies to obtain the specialized degree (license and bachelor's degree) and the higher degree (master's degree) and the precise degree (doctorate) in various disciplines related to the nature of the college.
  • Contributing to the formulation of educational policies by participating in all committees and institutions responsible for planning and developing educational strategies in Libya.
  • Preparing qualified scientific personnel and researchers in educational and scientific fields through graduate programs for master's and doctoral degrees.
  • Strengthening ties with colleges, higher institutes, and other educational and scientific institutions to contribute to the development of educational and scientific work in Libya.
  • Participation in the preparation, development, and implementation of training and activation courses for teachers at various educational stages to enhance their educational and scientific qualifications and to identify their knowledge and experiences.
