About the Department

The Department of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies is one of the most important academic departments in the college. It was established in the fall of 2024, and although it consists of only one semester, it includes a range of courses that combine the sciences of the Arabic language and Islamic jurisprudence.

The Arabic Language Department at the College of Education works to enhance Arabic linguistic and literary knowledge in an educational and cultural manner to serve the community. Consequently, it aims to develop education at all levels and excel in teaching and scientific research in the fields of humanities and Islamic studies, contributing to community service.

The Department of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies aims to prepare a generation that is scientifically and culturally proficient, in response to the requirements and needs of the job market, and to meet the community's needs for spreading the principles of Islamic law by working on training teachers and researchers who preserve and care for the Arabic language, ensuring the integrity of this ancient language and its speakers.

Preparing a righteous and faithful generation, deepening cultural awareness, and linking it to the intellectual heritage of the Arab nation and its glorious history.
The advancement of the Arabic language and the commitment to it in a way that serves the integrity of this ancient language and its speakers in a scientifically studied and sound manner.
Working on developing cognitive and behavioral skills within the framework of the Arabic language in order to enable them to perform the tasks required of them in society
Equipping the student with linguistic ability that helps them understand the linguistic events they encounter, analyze and evaluate them, and enables them to produce oral and written linguistic discourse characterized by accuracy, fluency, and quality, and consistent with standard Arabic.
Connecting students to the fundamental source of Islamic law through the memorization, recitation, understanding, and study of the Holy Quran, as well as the prophetic tradition.

I am pleased and honored to address you today on behalf of the Department of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies, a department in which we take pride in carrying a great responsibility.

It is represented in serving the language of the Holy Quran, deepening the authentic understanding of the noble Islamic religion, and spreading the noble values derived from our rich heritage and authentic identity.

The Arabic language is not just a means of communication; it is the vessel of our civilization, the tongue of our heritage, and the key to understanding the Book of God and the Sunnah of His Prophet, peace be upon him.

Islamic studies also represent a beacon for guidance, a methodology for moderate and balanced thought, and a tool for building a person intellectually and morally.

From this perspective, our department strives to achieve excellence in education, scientific research, and community service through advanced academic programs.

And an outstanding teaching staff, along with ambitious students who carry in their hearts a love for knowledge and belonging.

We also affirm our commitment to a stimulating educational environment that allows for constructive dialogue, elevates the value of research, criticism, and independent thinking, while adhering to the principles of our religion and our ethical values.
